French Shooting Federation
The Fédération Française de Tir or FFTir, created in 1965 by Claude Foussier, its first President, is an official organization aiming at gathering all the information relative to the practice of the sport of shooting, whether it is rifle, pistol, crossbow; on fixed target, mobile target, metal silhouette, old weapons or trays. IPSC
IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) has its origins in the mid 70's in the United States, under the impulse of the American Jeff Cooper.
Today the IPSC is recognized by the World Association of International Sports Federations, 110 nations are members of the IPSC. It organizes every three years a World Championship, an Intercontinental Cup and a European Championship. The Tir Sportif de Vitesse (TSV) is the French version of the IPSC. Read more about it
